Coming from Bangkok, by far the best way to
get to Koh Tao is by overnight sleeper train
and speed ferry. In Bangkok you need to catch
the last train at 7.00pm to Chumphon, which
will arrive in time for the ferry.
The
train station in Bangkok is called "Sa-tarnee
Hwalumpong" and any taxi will be able to
take you there. Tickets can be bought at the
station and it's advisable to arrive a couple
of hours before.
There
is a tourist information desk at the entrance.
The guys there speak excellent English and will
be happy to help you organise your tickets.
This is a free service.
On
arrival in Chumphon at around 6.30am, there
are several operators who have offices directly
on the platform. From here you can take a free
transfer to the pier as well as organise tickets.
The ferries services start at 7.00am and the
crossing takes just over two hours.

Flights from BKK to Koh Samui leave 10 times
daily. The flight takes just over an hour and
then from Koh Samui it's just a short boat ride
to Koh Tao.
*Please note that in order to catch the boats
the same day you will need to depart from BKK
no later than 11.00am. This allows you to catch
either the Lomprayah Catarmaran at 12.30pm or
the Sea Tran Service at 1.30pm.
Tickets
and transfers to the pier can be organised inside
Samui Airport.

Where We Are In Koh Tao;
When you arrive in Koh Tao, from the main pier
turn left and walk through the small market
to the main road. Cross straight over when you
come to the 7-Eleven, past Safety Stop Pub and
Crystal Dive Resort is only 30m down. You can't
miss us!
